Kanye West Debuts JAY-Z Collab Off Donda

Ahead of its release, Kanye West debuted his long-awaited 10th album Donda during a listening event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Thursday night (Jul. 22).

After running through the tracks including collaborations with Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Pusha T, and more, the live audience were in awe when they heard JAY-Z’s voice on the final track.

“Donda, I’m with your baby when I touch back road”, JAY rapped. “Told him stop all that red cap, we goin’ home. Can not be with all of these sins casting stones. This might be the return of The Throne. Hova and Yeezy like Moses and Jesus”, Hov continued. Young Guru tweeted JAY recorded the surprise verse just hours before the event.

Titled “Heaven & Hell”, the track is Kanye and JAY’s, who released their classic Watch The Throne in 2011, first track together since Drake’s “Pop Style” collaboration in 2016. After a brief fall out, big brother and little brother reunited during Diddy’s 50th birthday party in 2019.

Following the listening event, Kanye was given July 22 as Kanye West Day by the city of Atlanta and received his plaque backstage by Mayor Keisha Bottoms.
