NDLEA decorates Sir John Ubaka, the General Secretary of the Concerned Freight Forwarders and Transport Logistics as Ambassador of war against drug abuse
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Saturday, June 10th 2023 decorated Sir John Ubaka, the High Chief Nwadioranma 1 of Oqwashi-uku of Delta State, Chief Executive Officer of Jonka Global Concept Limited, and the General Secretary of the Concerned Freight Forwarders and Transport Logistics (CFFTL) as the Agency’s Ambassador of war against drug abuse.
According to Salihu Machi,ACN, a certified UNODC Instructor and WADA Coordinator, He note that this was an initiative of Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, Chairman of NDLEA, aimed at having more stakeholders in the society join the agency in the fight against drug abuse – that the WADA ambassador are conferred on people of substance who have integrity, meaningful citizens that could make an impact in the area of fight against drug abuse because it is time for the society to rise up and join the agency in ensuring a drug-free society.
He also noted that NDLEA cannot do it alone, but with the help of members of the society, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa and his team can fight the ravaging drug trafficking to a standstill or to a near standstill, as the idea behind WADA is that every member of the society must play a role in the fight against the menace of drugs.
Sir John Ubaka, the newly decorated WADA ambassador expressed his appreciation to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for finding him worthy to be appointed as WADA ambassador and described the honour as a call to duty, a new role with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as he pledged to collaborate with the agency in this course of propagating the war against drug abuse’s fight in eliminating the menace of drug abuse In Nigeria
