To coincide with the release of the motion picture film, Judas And The Black Messiah, the epic soundtrack has officially arrived.
Lead by H.E.R.’s powerful single “Fight For You“, the star-studded compilation opens with a piece by Fred Hampton Jr. and includes the highly-anticipating collaboration by Jay-Z and the late Nipsey Hussle, “What It Feels Like”, which recently was previewed in the film’s latest trailer.
Executive produced by Hit-Boy, the super-producer and rapper brings the “Broad Day” with his solo record and also reunites with Nas for “EPMD”. Also included on the soundtrack is Black Thought’s “Welcome To America”, A$AP Rocky’s “Rich Nigga Problems”, and Rakim’s “Black Messiah”.
Other artists contributing to the 22-track LP include Rapsody, JID, Masego, Lil Durk, Dom Kennedy, G Herbo, Bump J, Smino, Saba, BJ The Chicago Kid, SiR, Polo G, Pooh Shiesty, Kiana Ledé, SAFE, White Dave, and Nardo Wick.
Judas And The Black Messiah is a 2020 biographical-drama film based on African-American revolutionist and Black Panther Party chairman Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya) and FBI informant William O’Neal (LaKeith Stanfield). The Shaka King-directed film is in theaters and streaming on HBO Max.
