YoungBoy Never Broke Again was arrested on drug and firearm charges in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
WAFB reports that the 20-year old rapper was among the 16 individuals taken into custody by East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office Monday night (September 28) during a video shoot. It is unclear what lead to the arrest, but all the suspects face a variation of similar charges including drug possession, drug distribution, felon in possession of a firearm, and stolen firearms charges.
If the charges stick for NBA YoungBoy, he could face several years in prison. Last year, he served time for his involvement of a Miami shooting while still on probation for an unrelated case.
The unfortunate news comes just over a week after the rapper earned his third No. 1 on the Billboard charts with his recent album, Top.
