Austin Stone Worship Project, LUMINS, – “Center Of It All”

Last year, Austin Stone Worship announced their new project, LUMINS, which is made up of songwriters, producers and musicians from the Creative Collective at The Austin Stone. The songs will be a mix of EDM, synth pop, and live instruments. “It’s a really fresh, fun, high energy sound!” shares Kyle Lent, Director of Music with Austin Stone Worship. Today (Mar 19), LUMINS releases “Jesus Lifted High,” which is available now to download or stream.

Austin Stone Worship Project, LUMINS, - “Center Of It All”

“We were at a writing retreat spending the morning in prayer and worship outside. In the middle of our time, I remember looking up to the sky and having an overwhelming sense of awe and relief that Jesus, not me, was at the center of all things. That the leaves in the trees were dancing in the wind for His name, that the clouds in the sky were forming and fading according to His word, and that all of heaven and earth, and all our future was bending towards Him and His glory.

We began to pray those truths back to God. Then a few of us gathered and began to put some of those prayers to melody, and a few hours later most of the song was complete.

It is consistently good news and a necessary reminder for our souls that Jesus is the One sustaining us, upholding the universe, and at the center of all things!” -Dietrich Schmidt, Songwriter on “Center Of It All”
